What the map shows
Each point represents a service station, colored green, yellow or orange according to its price. Prices are divided into three groups of equal size, with thresholds at €2.08 and €2.14. A selector lets users choose the fuel (SP95, SP95-E10, SP98, diesel, LPG-c, E85) and a switch displays stations that are out of stock. A search bar makes it possible to find a station near home. The data comes from data.gouv.fr, provided by the Ministry of the Economy. Dividing prices into three relative groups masks the true extent of the price differences, and the density of points makes the map hard to read in urban areas.
