What the map shows
Each point is an active establishment whose name contains the word "vintage", colored by activity: thrift shops and fashion, garages and classic vehicles, online sales, flea markets and decor, clubs and events, cafés-bars-restaurants, wine and spirits, hairdressing and beauty, and other. The chart and legend give the counts: 364 thrift shops (19%), 349 garages (18%), 334 online sellers (17%), 329 flea markets (17%). According to the author, 65% of the businesses were created since 2020, thrift shops are concentrated in cities and garages are spread out. The background uses the 19th-century État-Major map. Activities are classified from the NAF code and the name, which limits accuracy; 19 overseas establishments are outside the frame.
